# Credits and limits

## Credits

Credits are counted in seconds of video. A 15-second video spends 15 credit-seconds when you create it.

- **Free:** previews, galleries, guides, checks, and status calls.
- **Refunded:** a video that fails or that you cancel before it finishes gives its credits back.
- **Monthly allowance:** every workspace gets 3 minutes (180 seconds) of video each month.

The dashboard shows your balance under **Kredit**. When a video needs more credits than you have, the request fails with `insufficient_credits` and nothing is queued.

## Limits

| Longest video | 60 seconds |
| Composition size | 200,000 characters of HTML |
| API requests per API key | 120 per minute |
| Download links | valid for 1 hour (the video itself stays in the dashboard) |

When two videos are already in progress, a new one is refused with `too_many_active_renders`. Wait for one to finish and try again.
